I never intended to paint let alone offer art for sale but with the encouragement of an amazing group of friends here I am. Introducing Stanky Art. It's Stanky cuz it's got a bit of attitude and its Art because my friends say so. Take a look and see what you think...
I started painting during lockdown and haven't stopped since. I'm attracted to bright, rich, saturated colors so that's what you'll find here. Loose, flowing, cartoony, and always full of color. Much like me. If you know me, you know.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include my couch, myriad tubes of acrylic paint, a slew of empty canvas's, a large can of brushes, and me. Holler.
The journey continues thanks to the kind folks at The Inn of Cape May. My work adorns the walls of this classic Inn, home of Ocean 7 and The Porch, both of which are must stops for locals and visitors alike. This is also one of our fave haunts so it's kinda kooky that my art is hanging in a place I frequent. Often! Thanks to for the support, Inn Gang!
The Inn of Cape May is hosting me for the entire season so pop by and take a peek. Everything is for sale and I'm also offering prints of pieces that already sold, like Cape May Crackle which I'm happy to say has found a new home. I'm going to flip in new stuff as I finish it, too, so it'll be ever changing and a work in persistent progress. Keepin' it Stanky but keepin' it fresh. Stanky Art. Quality you can smell! Mmmmm...!!!
My friends at Mad Batter Bar and Restaurant in Cape May, NJ offered me the opportunity to feature my art in their popular hotspot, so I jumped at the chance. Fills the room nicely and adds a little Stank!
The opposite wall....
And an adjacent wall.
I used to work in Film and Music in Los Angeles. During that time, I enjoyed promo service from a number of record labels and this piece features a photo from a press kit I received for the latest Warren Zevon release. I created the environment in honor of his "Excitable Boy" LP.
Painted for my friends at Olive and Meadow. Specializing in Charcuterie Boards, Grazing Tables, Event Items, Workshops & More. Visit them at oliveandmeadow.com. It's art you can eat!
Painted for my friends at The 215. A fun splash of musical color to brighten their lives and thank them for their constant hospitality. Love!
When they were first dating, my friends Dawn and John saw Bowling For Soup at the Celebrate Fairfax Festival in June of 2006 in Fairfax, Virginia. It was amongst their very first dates and they have seen BFS many times subsequently. Painted as a housewarming gift to honor their commitment to each other and as a way to thank them for their friendship and support.
